NRF TOUR RULES
NRF Tour approves 10 Tour events each season. We want to keep the tour events specialized to a limited number of shows.
Horse & Rider Eligibility
Futurity: Futurity Horse age is 4-5yr olds of the current season – only 1 year of futurity eligibility – Futurity horses CANNOT be competed on in any other barrel racing events PRIOR to Nov 15th of the previous season
Derby: Derby Horse age is 5-7yr olds of the current season – cannot be futurity eligible – 2 years of Derby eligibility if futuritied as a 5yr old - 3 years of Derby eligibility if futuritied as a 4yr old
Amateurs: Amateur status is based on the Futurity Rider – rider must not have won more than $500 in combined earnings prior to the current season in ANY futurity barrel events in the last 10 years.
Points & Standings
Points are earned at each Tour event in each go round in your horses’ respected class division. Points are awarded to only NRF nominated horses. No points are earned on the average results.
Point Audits are welcome up to 2 weeks after each event by contestants. After the 2 week window, points will be final.

Event Guidelines
· Futurity & Derby classes must be separate runs with 2 Go Rounds – these cannot be a sidepot from an Open Class
· $2,000 minimum ADDED for Futurity & $1,000 minimum ADDED for Derby | Must have Average Awards for both Futurity & Derby
· Producers are required to pay out the Futurity & Derby Go Rounds in a 2D Format
· The 2D must be paid back a minimum of 20% of the entry fee (For Example: 70% 1D and 20% 2D)
· It is the responsibility of the producer to check all futurity horses’ status – age and pedigree if needed
· All futurity/derby horses must be checked in at your event prior to running – paperwork must match the nominated horse at the event and horse must be numbered at event
· Producers promote the NRF Tour on their website, entry forms, event flyers & full-page ad in your event program (NRF Tour will provide the event program Ad)
· Producers are required to email the results to NRFTOUR@gmail.com by the Tuesday following your event
· Event Sanctioning forms and sanctioning fee must be submitted by March 1st
· We reserve the right to refuse any application for any reason. NRF Tour management has the final say on all rulings
· 100% sanctioning fees go towards the series awards for the contestants at the end of the year
